Trade

Open markets and free trade are at the core of American prosperity and have enabled us to become the world’s leading superpower.

Those who advocate isolationist policies doesn’t understand what any junior economist can tell you: Increased trade makes all nations richer. If you look at the history of humankind, the richest nations have always been those that built the strongest trade networks, from Athens and Rome to the British Empire.

Instead of engaging in destructive trade wars, if we are to continue our role as a global leader, we must rethink our international policies, reduce friction with our trading partners, promote free markets, and form multilateral agreements and trade pacts with American interests at the center.
